Grade scales differ between institutions — some use plus and minus grades, some weight honours or AP courses higher, and CGPA conversion varies by university. Check your own handbook for the official scale.
How this works

A GPA is weighted by credits — a 4-credit course moves it twice as much as a 2-credit one.
A common Indian conversion is percentage ≈ CGPA × 9.5, though universities differ.
Cumulative GPA covers every semester; entering all of them here gives the cumulative figure.
How is GPA calculated?
Multiply each course grade point by its credits, add those up, then divide by the total credits. An A (4.0) in a 3-credit course contributes 12 grade points.
How do I convert CGPA to percentage?
Many Indian universities use percentage = CGPA × 9.5, so 8.0 CGPA is about 76%. Some use different multipliers — check your handbook.
What counts as a good GPA?
On the 4.0 scale, 3.5 and above is generally strong, 3.0 is solid, and many graduate programmes set 3.0 as a minimum. Standards vary by field and institution.
